Two weeks remain to nominate young volunteers for the Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Program.
The nomination period, which began Jan. 30, ends March 13 for a program that honors more than 2,500 youth with nearly $400,000 in scholarships and prizes. Kids ages six to 18 who have made a positive impact on their communities are eligible for the awards and prizes, ranging from $50 Kohl’s gift cards to $10,000 scholarships.
Kids will be rewarded nationwide on the local, regional and national levels for their volunteer efforts.
There will be 10 national winners awarded a $10,000 scholarship each for higher education, with $1,000 donated to a nonprofit on the winner’s behalf. Nearly 200 students will win $1,000 regional scholarships toward higher education. And more than 2,000 students will receive $50 Kohl’s gift cards.
