LGC+D recently raised $11,210 during “Mustache March: Cash for the Stache,” a fundraiser to benefit The 12th annual Tomorrow Fund Stroll and raise money for Team Stand Tall For KJ, a group supporting KJ Ricci, who has been battling leukemia for the past three years and is the son of LGC+D IT Director Kevin Ricci.
“I wanted to thank everyone for their incredible generosity,” said Kevin Ricci. “It is going to such a great organization and it’s going to help so many families, including my own. I thank you once again for everything that you did to make the day such an overwhelming success. But beyond the success of what was accomplished, KJ hasn’t been that happy and filled with energy more than a handful of times over the last 28 months, and for that, you have my deepest gratitude.”
In recognition of meeting the company’s goal, Rich DeRienzo, LGC+D’s managing partner, shaved his 37-year-old mustache off before nearly 50 attendees of the event, including LGC+D employees, friends and family. This is the second year LGC+D has raised funds in support of The Tomorrow Fund Stroll. Last year, the company raised $1,512 and Joe Sabetta, LGC+D’s principal, shaved his mustache off. •
