Laurie Ossman has been named director of museum affairs at The Preservation Society of Newport County. Ossman, currently a research historian for the Smithsonian Institution, has served as a director of historic sites for the National Trust for Historic Preservation and has held various curatorial positions. She holds a Ph.D in architectural history from the University of Virginia. •
