Leaders honored at Gateway’s luncheon

Gateway Healthcare, a nonprofit behavioral health care organization, held its 17th annual awards luncheon Thursday, May 24 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Providence-Warwick. The luncheon celebrated Gateway’s accomplishments and honored four individuals who contribute to the organization and their communities.
More than 175 friends, supporters, board members and staff members were present as Richard Leclerc, president of Gateway Healthcare, and Lloyd J. Robertson, board chair, presented awards.
Robert P. Andrade, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Pawtucket Credit Union and treasurer of the Gateway Board of Directors, was presented the 2012 Light of Hope Philanthropy award for his philanthropic contributions. In addition, Community Leadership Awards were presented to Laura Adams, president and CEO of the Rhode Island Quality Institute; John J. Carr, vice president and founder of the Centurion Program; and Elizabeth Earls, president and CEO of the Rhode Island Council of Community Behavioral Healthcare Organizations.
Gov. Lincoln D. Chafee presented proclamations to each of the recipients.
