PROVIDENCE - Lin Media, which owns WPRI-TV CBS 12, has acquired a majority ownership in a Los Angeles-based online marketing and technology company.
Lin said Tuesday that the deal with Nami Media Inc. – in the business of traffic quality and “cost per click” advertising - will help the company grow its digital product offerings and “furthers its goal to be advertisers’ preferred choice for multiplatform marketing opportunities.”
Lin launched its digital business in 2007 and since then has increased its digital revenue 300 percent, a news release said.
Nami said its online traffic quality management technology allows advertisers to improve the effectiveness of their campaigns by qualifying website traffic, and selecting the most relevant feeds and ad units.
“Performance marketing is one of the fastest growing areas of Internet advertising and our investment in Nami Media provides us with technology and synergies to maximize the effectiveness of our customers’ online advertising campaigns,” said Vincent L. Sadusky, Lin president and CEO.
