Local schools represented on Princeton Review’s best business schools list

NEW YORK – The University of Rhode Island, Bryant University and the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth earned places on The Princeton Review’s 2016 list of the best 295 business schools.
Regionally, Roger William’s University also earned a place on the college-prep maker’s list of the best 173 law schools.
The two books, “Best 295 Business Schools” and “Best 173 Law Schools,” published by Penguin Random House/Princeton Review Books, each list top 10 ranking graduate schools in 11 categories, but otherwise do not rank the schools.
The Princeton Review surveyed 22,000 students attending the 295 business schools and 19,700 students attending the 173 law schools. The 80-question survey asked students to rate their schools on several topics and report on their experiences at them.
“The schools we selected for these guides all offer academically outstanding degrees: we recommend them highly,” said Robert Franek, senior vice president and publisher of The Princeton Review.
Listed schools’ programs do vary “considerably,” he added, noting that distinctions are highlighted in accompanying school profiles.
“Our purpose is not to rank schools hierarchically or crown any school as ‘best’ overall,” he explained, but rather, “to provide school profiles combined with multiple rating scores and ranking lists to help applicants choose the best law or business school for them.”
