The Savings Bank Life Insurance Co. recently provided Providence nonprofit Louie’s Place with 20 Pawtucket Red Sox tickets. The donation allowed several Providence youths to attend the team’s opening night game at McCoy Stadium.

“Each baseball season we look forward to providing local nonprofits with the opportunity to attend a PawSox game,” said Robert K. Sheridan, president and CEO of the Savings Bank Life Insurance Co. “We want everyone to be able to enjoy America’s favorite pastime and we’re always pleased to see the smiling faces on each of the groups who attend a game.”

Louie’s Place is a nonprofit youth program operated by the South Providence Neighborhood Ministries. It was named after Louis Feinstein, father of Alan Shawn Feinstein, and offers after-school and summer programs for Providence youths. Louie’s Place is funded in part by a monthly grant of $500 from the Feinstein Foundation, which also provides financial assistance to nonprofits that help the needy. •
