L+A Landscape honored for CITY WALK

NEWPORT – L+A Landscape Architecture has received the 2015 Honor Award from the Rhode Island Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects for CITY WALK, a network of connected spaces in Providence.
The pathway, now in development by a coalition of organizations, including the Providence Foundation and the Jewelry District Association, will connect eight neighborhoods in the city from Roger Williams Park to India Point Park.
The path will follow 7.8 miles and will include pedestrian areas, bicycle routes and improved access, such as the proposed pedestrian bridge across the Providence River.
Accepting the award on Dec. 10 were Ron Henderson, principal of L+A Landscape Architecture, Phoebe Blake, the CITY WALK co-chair, and Katherine Dana, also of L+A Landscape Architecture.
