Mansfield unloads municipal equipment

MANSFIELD – Mansfield sold $160,000 worth of snow plows, vehicles, and heavy equipment, among other things, on the site municibid, The Boston Globe reported Dec. 30.

Municibid.com is an online government auction site that allows government agencies to sell surplus or unused assets. It’s free for governments that proactively list items on social media, it said.

“Needless to say we are thrilled with the results,” said Mike Ahern, Special Projects Manager with the town of Mansfield.
