Martin named Santander’s director of commercial markets

BOSTON – Kenneth B. Martin joined Santander Bank N.A. as director of commercial markets, the bank announced Thursday. Martin will oversee Santander’s New England commercial business relationships with revenues up to $500 million.

Prior to joining Santander, Martin was executive vice president and director of commercial enterprise banking for Providence-based RBS Citizens Financial Group.

“We are very fortunate to have Ken join our team at Santander,” said Michael A. Lee, Santander’s managing director for commercial banking and real estate. “He is a veteran of the banking industry with more than three decades of experience and has deep expertise in commercial banking, along with a strong track record of commitment to the community.”

Martin has served as past president of the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce and as a member of the Woonsocket Economic Development Board.

He has a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the University of Rhode Island.

Martin is a native of Pawtucket. In his new position, he will be based in Boston, but plans to continue residing in Lincoln, Martin told Providence Business News.
