MassChallenge awards $1.75M at annual startup awards ceremony

BOSTON – MassChallenge, a startup accelerator program, awarded $1.75 million at its annual startup awards ceremony Wednesday, the Boston Business Journal reported.
Here are the winners in the $100,000 Diamond category:
Massachusetts company Catie’s Closet, which improves school attendance and removes social stigmas by providing clothing and necessities to students living in poverty.
Ohio-based Disease Diagnostic Group, whose reusable, mechanical device offers a handheld, quantitative malaria diagnosis.
Massachusetts-based Drinkwell, which transforms the global arsenic and fluoride water crisis into economic opportunity.
SQZ Biotech, of Massachusetts, which makes CellSqueeze (invented at MIT). It enables delivery of molecules into cells by a gentle squeezing.
