BOSTON – Representatives from 20 Massachusetts communities, as well as the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Living Cities and several other organizations and agencies last week launched the Working Cities Challenge: An Initiative for Massachusetts Smaller Cities.
Modeled after Living Cities’ signature effort, The Integration Initiative, the Working Cities Challenge tasks cities with drawing on different industry sectors to develop a “transformative project” to support economic development. Fall River, New Bedford and Taunton are participating.
