Why did you select your profession? My grandmother had been in the insurance industry for many years, and it was her passion and drive that originally piqued my interest. I realized we shared a lot of the same feelings about the business. If it wasn’t for her, I would not be where I am today.

What’s the best career advice you’ve received? My father has always said that you need to be passionate and enjoy what you do. Make that your first priority and everything else will fall into place.

What’s the last book that you read and what quote can you remember from it? “Good to Great” by James Collins. The one quote that stood in my mind is, “The right people don’t need to be tightly managed or fired up; they will be self-motivated by the inner drive to produce the best results and to be part of creating something great.” •
