McElroy to lead Customers’ SBA group

WYOMISSING, Pa. – Customers Bank last week announced Ed McElroy will become vice president of the bank’s newly formed Small Business Administration group serving customers throughout the northeast.
McElroy, formerly a senior business development officers for ten years with Home Loan and Investment Bank in Warwick, will solicit, evaluate and process SBA loans for customers in New York, New Jersey and New England.
While working in Warwick, McElroy sourced 7(a) loans and conventional real estate loans for the New York City area, tripling the gross volume over a three-year span, according to a Customers press release.
“Ed brings a great skillset to the Customers Bank SBA Group,” said Kevin Gallagher, McElroy’s direct boss. “His wealth of experience will help to set this new division in the right direction.”
McElroy also worked for First Trade Union Bank in Boston and LoanMarkets in New York.
