I didn’t consciously choose my profession … I graduated with a degree in Spanish language and literature and simply wanted to work someplace where I could utilize my language skills. I started off in sales and found I was good in training and development and have spent the last 14 years in this field.
Where do you see yourself professionally in 10 years?
Continuing to mentor and develop others … with a specific emphasis on women business leaders.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever been given?
The 24-hour rule: Wait 24 hours to react and respond, to give time to gather more data and temper emotions.
What advice would you give your 22-year-old self?
Network, network, network.
What is your favorite escape or hobby?
I love to go to new places and experience new things.
How do you keep a work-life balance?
I try to only address things that really need my attention and not get caught up in working 24/7. •
