Men’s Cancer Wellness Group to meet at Miriam

PROVIDENCE – The Miriam Hospital Men’s Cancer Wellness Group will meet tonight from 6-7:30 p.m. at the hospital’s Comprehensive Care Center in the Fain Building, third-floor conference room, 164 Summit Ave.
The meeting is a forum for men recently diagnosed with prostate, bladder, testicular, penile or renal cancers to learn about treatment options as well as coping with everyday life. The free session will be led by Christopher T. Tucci, R.N., manager of the Minimally Invasive Urology Institute at hospital, who will lead a roundtable discussion about urology programs.
Facilitated by Kathy Higginbotham, LICSW, the group is both a psychosocial support and educational meeting. The Men’s Wellness Group aims to provide a comfortable setting among peers for discussion, education and support through the treatment and recovery process – and each month a speaker will lead a discussion on a relevant topic.
For more information, contact Higginbotham at 401-793-2078.
