Met School builds learning lab from shed

PROVIDENCE – The Metropolitan Regional Career and Technical Center – the Met School – in June launched a new outdoor learning lab for the Peace Street campus at 362 Dexter St.
Twelve students and DownCity Design educators designed the S/LAB, an underutilized shed, during the 2013-14 academic year. The shed, which has a deck, will be used as a meeting place for students and advisers working on experiential learning projects, and for storage.
DownCity Design’s education programs focus on problem-solving skills students can use with hands-on projects. •
