NORTH SMITHFIELD – A Miami real estate company has purchased the Halstead at Slatersville Mill loft apartment complex in Slatersville Village from DSF Group, brokerage CBRE/New England announced Thursday.

The sale price was not disclosed.

The buyer was Residences at Slatersville Mill LLC, an affiliate of Acumen Real Estate of Miami, which invests in multi-family properties in Florida and the northeast, according to CBRE. This is Acumen’s first acquisition in Rhode Island.

“We are pleased to add this historic, exceptional asset to our growing portfolio,” said Acumen Managing Partner Carlos Berner in a news release. “This transaction is an important part of our plan to increase our presence in the New England region.”

Boston-based DSF converted the 207-year-old mill complex into 224 apartments using historic tax credits in 2007. The complex includes a single-story leasing center and three separate restored mill buildings.

CBRE/New England Executive Vice Presidence Simon Butler and Executive Vice Presidents and Partner Biria St. John represented the seller and procured the buyer.
