PAWTUCKET â The Rhode Island Film Collaborative and The Anthony Quinn Foundation have announced the 2012 Anthony Quinn Award winner as Anne Mulhall, founder of LDI Casting, a Providence casting agency.
Mulhall will receive her ward Dec. 8 at the RIFCâs fifth annual Black & White party at Mixed Magic Theatre in Pawtucket.
Mulhall is being recognized for having âdedicated herself tirelessly to building both the local film community and the capabilities and professionalism of its membersâ according to a release announcing the award.
The award is given to honor passion and dedication to the art of filmmaking including outreach, encouragement, and support of the community and those pursuing film or related arts.
LDI Casting has placed Rhode Island actors in films including âMoonrise Kingdomâ and â27 Dresses.â
She also has worked in fundraising for Rhode Island nonprofits and is the founder of Alâs House, a nonprofit that serves Alzheimerâs patients.
Funds raised from the Black & White party help support the Rhode Island Film Collaborative, a nonprofit founded in 2005 that works to help independent filmmakers, throughout the year.
The Anthony Quinn Foundation, in Bristol, is a nonprofit working to promote its belief that art is essential to the enrichment of the mind.
