CRANSTON - WJAR-TV NBC 10 will begin its morning newscast a half hour earlier “to meet viewer demands.”

The Sunrise News will begin at 4:30 a.m. Monday through Friday; the first day of the new schedule will be Nov. 28.

“We’re keeping up with changing times,” said Vic Vetters, WJAR general manager, in a news release Wednesday. “As more of our viewers start their day earlier, WJAR will provide them with the news and weather they need.”

The news team includes co-anchors Frank Coletta, who also covers the local business community and Barbara Morse Silva, also the station’s health care reporter; reporter and weekend Sunrise anchor Mario Hilario; reporter Audrey Washington, traffic reporter Tom Stewart, and meteorologists Gary Ley and Kelly Bates.
