NCA adds six principals from among staff

NEWPORT – Northeast Collaborative Architects has promoted six project managers to company principals, according to a news release.
They include: Synfoni Bailey-Green, Sean Donadio, Dan Herchenroether, Dan Kwasniewski, John Scheib and Andrea Torizzo. They will help manage the architectural firm alongside founding principals J. Michael Abbott, Jeffery Dale Bianco, Glenn Gardiner, Raymond Giolitto, John Grosvenor and Daniel Weston.
In a statement, Bianco said the expansion of the leadership team recognizes the contributions of the architects and their commitment to the future of the practice. “All of the original founders are very proud to have mentored the new principals from the beginning of their careers to the point where they can share in managing the firm and developing new business.”
Donadio joined the company in 1997. He earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Roger Williams University. Scheib joined the company in 2008. He earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Oklahoma State University. Both will be based in the Middletown, Conn., offices of NCA.
Torizzo has a bachelor’s degree in historic preservation and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Roger Williams University. She will be based in the Providence office and joined the company in 2011. She recently worked as the project manager for the micro-lofts at the Arcade Providence, an adaptive reuse project that earned seven awards, including the 2014 National Trust for Historic Preservation Award.
Herchenroether and Kwasniewski will be based in Newport. Herchenroether joined the company in 2000 and earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Miami University and a master’s degree in architecture from Roger Williams University. Kwasniewski joined ACA in 2001 and earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Roger Williams University.
