NEIT hosting FIRST Tech Robotics Challenge

EAST GREENWICH – Rhode Island FIRST Tech Challenge, sponsored by New England Institute of Technology, is inviting students in grades 7-12 interested in robotics to the kick off of the 2015-2016 robotics season on Sept 12.
The FIRST Robotic Kickoff, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at NEIT at One New England Tech Blvd., will feature a keynote presentation from members of the Electric Boat robotic welding division as well as workshops offered by high school robotic teams.

Last season, more than 37 Rhode Island teams were involved in FIRST Robotics.
The cost to register for one season is $275. FIRST is offering a Technology Transition Grant to rookie teams in the amount of $575 to cover the registration fee and product, and to veteran teams in the amount of $275 to cover registration. Information can be found HERE.
