NEIT launches degree program in graphic design

WARWICK – The New England Institute of Technology announced the launch Monday of its new Bachelor of Science degree program in graphics, multimedia and web design.
The bachelor’s degree track builds on the school’s existing associate’s degree in graphics, multimedia and web design, which provides students “hands-on, project-oriented instruction” in digital photography, typography, web design, interactive multimedia, personal branding and desktop e-publishing.
After completing the core curriculum, students choose to specialize in either multimedia or graphic design. Students in both tracks build a digital portfolio of their projects and have access to off-campus work experience opportunities.
Currently, students who complete the associate’s degree program with a focus in multimedia have the choice to enter the school’s bachelor’s degree program in digital recording arts technology.
The new Bachelor of Science program in graphics, multimedia and web design began accepting students Friday, but New England Tech admissions staff said they have not yet received any applications from students interested in entering the bachelor’s degree program.
