NEIT offering cyber-?security tech program

EAST GREENWICH –The New England Institute of Technology is adding cyber-security technology to its information technology program, according to Thomas F. Wylie, senior vice president and provost of NEIT.
The school’s bachelor of science program in information technology will now include three areas of study: software-engineering technology, network-engineering technology and the newest offering in cyber security.
The curriculum includes such topics as computer systems, mobile and network forensics, Windows and Linux security, incident response, the design of secure networks, evolving threats and the proper use of security tools.
“New England Tech is prepared to offer our students the latest in cyber-security technology through classroom instruction, hands-on training and the students’ choice between a senior project and an internship in their final two quarters,” Wylie said. &#8226
