Navigant gives scholarships to 10 students

SMITHFIELD – Navigant Credit Union has awarded $10,000 in college scholarships to 10 high school seniors.
This is the 15th year in a row that the credit union has made such awards, giving more than $150,000 in scholarships over that period of time.
“Navigant believes in supporting Rhode Island residents,” said Navigant President and CEO Gary Furtado. “Our children deserve to have every chance at success, and Navigant Credit Union is happy to support local students pursuing a college education.”
This year’s scholarship winners are: Nicholas Paiva, Amanda Laidler and Bellamie Russo, all of Smithfield High School; Kristen Rodrigues of Mount Saint Charles Academy; Patrick Murphy of the Metropolitan Regional Career and Technical School; Emma Alfred of St. Mary Academy Bayview; Spencer Darveau of Mount Saint Charles Academy; Christopher Cambio of Bishop Henricken High School; Alexander Chatterton of Classical High School; and Lauren Hervieux of Lincoln High School.
