Neighbors in Need to help nonprofits, people

PROVIDENCE – Citizens Bank, Cumulus Broadcasting radio stations and Hasbro Inc. will hold the fifth year of Neighbors in Need, a program designed to help nonprofit organizations and individuals struggling this holiday season from Dec. 3-7.
Through the program, listeners on 92 PRO-FM, Lite Rock 105 and New Talk 630 WPRO and 99.7 FM can nominate members of their community who are in need through the stations’ websites. From Dec. 33-7, Citizens Bank will award $500 per day on the states to a family in need. A donation in that family’s name also will be made to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank and Crossroads Rhode Island.
Hasbro will donate toys and games to children in each winning family.
“The men and women of Citizens Bank understand that many families are in need this holiday season,” said Ned Handy, president of Citizens Bank, Rhode Island, in a statement. “With this in mind, we are focusing on the less fortunate and once again partnering…on the Neighbors in Need program, which allows us to lend our neighbors a helping hand.”
