New Tiverton library opens

TIVERTON – The new, 24,000-square-foot Tiverton Public Library recently opened, replacing the former Essex Library, which had served the community for more than 70 years.
The new library is 20,000-square-feet larger than the original, and features a café, community meeting hall, children’s library, young adult room and an adult reading room, as well as exterior public courtyard spaces, according to a news release.
The architect for the building was Union Studio Architecture and Community Design. It was built by Behan Brothers Construction.
