WARWICK – CareWell Urgent Care will open a new facility on Nov. 15 at 535 Centerville Rd., convenient to residents of East Greenwich, West Warwick and Coventry, according to CEO Renee M. Lohman.
“CareWell Urgent Care will be the place to go for fast, compassionate medical care in a comfortable environment when someone has an episodic, but still urgent, non-life-threatening illness or injury such as colds, flu, infections, fractures, cuts, rashes, or allergic reactions and chronic conditions,” Lohman said. “We can also help people with health screenings, certain physicals, vaccinations and flu shots.”
The firm also operates urgent care facilities in South Dennis, Mass., and Norwell, Mass.
According to Lohman, most major insurance plans, Medicare, and credit cards will be accepted, and co-pays will be similar to those charged for a doctor’s office visit. Wait times will be minimal.
An open house is scheduled for Nov. 17.
The two physicians at the CareWell Urgent Care center are Dr. Oliver M. Gherardi, chief physician, and Dr. Ram Ravi, staff physician.
Kathy Parker, a nurse practitioner with 20 years’ experience, will serve as the center’s practice manager.
The center’s hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m,. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
