Nurses summit to host Sen. Reed

U.S. Sen. Jack Reed will be on hand on Friday, May 15, as the American Nurses Association Rhode Island hosts its annual summit.

PROVIDENCE – U.S. Sen. Jack Reed will be on hand on Friday, May 15, as the American Nurses Association Rhode Island hosts its annual summit.

Reed is scheduled to deliver an address to the group. A video presentation from Senator Sheldon Whitehouse will take place at the event as well.

Entitled Nurses Building a Healthy Rhode Island, the day-long event will be held at the Providence Marriott Downtown.

Also speaking, on the subject of healthcare access, will be Secretary of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services Elizabeth Roberts.

The keynote speaker is Mary Beth Bigley, director of the Division of Nursing in the Bureau of Health Professions at Health Resources and Services Administration.
