Oceanstate Financial rebrands as Baystate

EAST PROVIDENCE – Baystate Financial is the new name for what was formerly Oceanstate Financial Services in East Providence. The renaming is part of an effort to streamline Baystate Financial’s company throughout New England.

“Baystate Financial had a great 2012 in all of our offices, including East Providence,” said David Porter, owner and managing partner for Baystate Financial. “We are excited to extend the Baystate brand into Rhode Island and we look forward to continuing to work with all of our advisors and clients in the Rhode Island market.”

The East Providence office will continue to offer financial planning, wealth management and estate planning services. It also assists businesses with employer benefits and products such as life and disability insurance.

Baystate Financial was founded in 1901 and has offices in Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
