Founded in 2008 on the Barrington patio of CEO Nick Kishfy, Providence software design and development company MojoTech LLC shows no sign of slowing down.

The engineering-only firm has blossomed into four offices in four states, now handling product management, design, team augmentation and R&D, and the building of web, mobile, wearable and health care applications.

Building drives the culture of MojoTech, says Kishfy.

“We’ve built a team of smart, hardworking people who perpetuate a culture of growth and improvement,” he said.

From July 2015 through June 2016, for example, the company went from 36 employees to 44.

MojoTech’s first office was in Warren, which it outgrew the next year and moved to a larger space in town. That led to an even bigger space in Providence (and then a bigger one after that, which underwent expansion last year); the adding of a client-service office in New York City in 2013; and the addition of both a full-service office in Boulder, Colo., and a client-service office in Washington, D.C., last year.

Kishfy says the team is set to expand in Providence and Boulder. New locations and services are likely coming in 2017.

“Of course we plan for the future, but what really matters to me is what we actually do, not what we plan to do,” he said. “In the words of every coach ever, ‘We’re taking it one project at a time.’ ” •
