Local nonprofit The Tomorrow Fund recently received a $1,113 donation from Overhead Door Co./Garage Headquarters, which raised the money through its Click for a Cure Campaign.
The weeklong Click for a Cure campaign was a social media campaign run by the Overhead Door Co./Garage Headquarters. For each person who “liked” the company’s Facebook page during the promotion, $1 was donated to The Tomorrow Fund. Additional customers gave donations in person.
“We received a significant amount of positive feedback on our Facebook page and also from our customers in person about this promotion,” said Scott Grace, president of Overhead Door Co./Garage Headquarters. “We gained [more than] 1,000 new fans in seven days for such a good cause, and are happy to help The Tomorrow Fund with their programs and outreach.”
The Tomorrow Fund provides support to children with cancer and their families. It will use the donation to help provide hospital parking passes, travel stipends, copayments and additional expenses, as well as college scholarships and a camp for cancer patients. &#8226
