Charlestown, RI: Oyster Works, a Rhode Island-based architecture, design and project management firm, today announced that Damara Ortolani Sisti of Tiverton will join their team. Ortolani Sisti, an award-winning intern architect, will assist the firm in designing "sensibly green" projects in the corporate and residential markets in Rhode Island and across the Northeast.

"Damara brings a passion for design and an enthusiastic approach to architecture to the firm," said Megan Moynihan, partner and lead architect. "We are excited to immediately integrate her into our forward-looking design projects."

Ortolani Sisti, a native of Oakland, NJ, designed projects as an architectural intern for BAM Design Studio and Franklin and Company in Newport following her 2010 cum laude graduation from Roger Williams University (RWU). While earning her BS in Architecture/Master of Architecture at RWU, Ortolani Sisti took leadership roles as a graduate assistant, secretary and publicity chair of the American Institute of Architecture Students and student co-chair of Studio Culture. She also won accolades as a member of the Design Build team that took home first place in the 2009 Design Build Competition and she was one of 12 students in the 2010 graduating class to win the President's Core Value Medallion.

"At Oyster Works, our approach is to provide sensibly green solutions for our clients through integrated project delivery," said Andrew Baer, partner and project manager. "Damara will play an important role in educating our small business clients on how smart design allows them to be a friend to the environment and save money in the process."

"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with such highly skilled and well-respected professionals in a firm that works hand-in-hand with their clients to provide practical solutions and beautiful design," said Ortolani Sisti.
