PBN honors local business women


PROVIDENCE – Exceptional women from Rhode Island businesses in six industry categories, as well as a leading career achiever and an outstanding mentor, were chosen for Providence Business News’ sixth annual Business Women Awards program.

People’s Credit Union CEO Ellen N. Ford will be honored for overall career achievement, while Kati C. Machtley, director of Bryant University’s Women’s Summit, was named PBN’s outstanding mentor.

Other 2013 winners by category are:

Winners will be honored at a luncheon at the Providence Marriott on May 30 from 12 to 2 p.m. Individual tickets are $90 and corporate tables for 10 are $850.
