PROVIDENCE BUSINESS NEWS in inaugurating PRLink, a service to simplify the way press releases are submitted, evaluated and published at the paper and on PBN.com.

PROVIDENCE – Starting Monday, Providence Business News is inaugurating PRlink, a service that guarantees press releases sent to the newsroom of PBN are seen and evaluated, while at the same time offering a paid, self-publishing option that guarantees placement of submitted press releases on PBN.com, among other things.

Currently, press releases are submitted a number of ways to PBN, from email to fax and even by mail. PRlink is an effort to simplify how companies and individuals can make sure that PBN’s editors and writers see their latest news and information, while offering a way to link their online marketing to the market presence and search engine optimization that is built into PBN.com.

At no cost, marketers can follow the links at the top and bottom of the PBN.com home page and submit a press release, along with up to 10 photos, a logo and supporting documents, that go into a queue evaluated regularly by PBN staff for news coverage.

For $99, submitters are guaranteed placement of a release on the PBN.com PRlink page as part of the complete PRlink database on the site, along with one photo, supporting documents and links back to their own site. In addition, posters can add up to three keywords to help with search engine optimization.

For $149, submitters receive the same benefits as with the basic release, but as a premium posting, they also can publish up to six photographs, add 10 keywords for search optimization and guarantee featured placement on the PRlink home page, as well as placement on the PBN.com home page.

For those enterprises that submit multiple releases, an annual agreement (costing $349 per month) allows unlimited premium postings.

For agencies that post for multiple companies, an annual premium agreement costs $649 per month, again, allowing for unlimited premium postings for all its clients.

Designed by Providence-based Web developer Creative Circle Media Solutions, PRlink also provides an online wizard to help submitters take full advantage of the service, no matter the subscription level.

PRlink also provides total searchability for basic, premium and unlimited contract postings. All press releases currently on PBN.com will be remain in the PRlink database.
