WARWICK – IT services and business technology solutions company PC Troubleshooters Inc. announced Monday that it will operate under the new name Secure Future Tech Solutions beginning Feb. 1.

The decision to rebrand reflects the evolution of PC Troubleshooters’ service offerings and client base, the company said. Since 1992, when company President and CEO Eric. M. Shorr founded PC Troubleshooters, information technology has come to play an increasingly strategic role in business, and the company has consequently transformed from a “break-fix” shop to a regional IT service and security provider.

“This is a proud milestone for PC Troubleshooters,” said Shorr. “Our name change reflects the company we have grown into over the past two decades – one that is known for providing leading technology solutions that align with our clients’ business strategy. From network and physical security to the cloud and data storage, the Secure Future Tech Solutions brand allows us to better communicate and encompasses our mission.”

Going forward, Secure Future Tech Solutions will expand its offerings focused on physical and network security, the company said, including network video surveillance, data backup and disaster recovery, network and email security, and other cloud-based services.

In the last 12 months, Secure Future Tech Solutions has added six employees for a total of 18, representing record growth for the Warwick-based firm. The company ranked among the fastest-growing technology companies in the Providence Business News 2013 Book of Lists.

“I congratulate Eric and his team as they unveil their new corporate name and logo, which reflect the success they have realized here in Rhode Island in the past two decades as well as their ongoing dedication to provide the best and most current technology for their customers,” said Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian in a prepared statement. “That they have also increased their workforce by 50 percent in just the past year really demonstrates the commitment that Secure Future Tech Solutions is making to ensure their clients’ businesses grow as well. I wish them continued success here in Warwick and look forward to celebrating future milestones with them.”
