WARWICK – IT services firm PC Troubleshooters Inc. acquired a small business in East Greenwich last month.

PC Troubleshooters bought the client list of Experts On-Site for an undisclosed sum.

Experts On-Site was founded by computer programmer Christopher Renzi who has another business, Diverve Inc.

“Chris had two businesses and, because he was doing computer programming, a lot of his clients were asking him to service their networks or computers. So about seven or eight years ago, he started Experts On-Site,” said Lisa Shorr, vice president of marketing for PC Troubleshooters.

Experts On-Site had one other employee, a technician who decided to relocate to Boston; Renzi decided to sell off the business and approached PC Troubleshooters.

“It gave us a broader footprint in the Rhode Island market,” said Shorr. She estimated that the acquisition will boost their client roster by about 10 percent. PC Troubleshooters plans to maintain its 15 employees, but is looking at re-structuring work hours to accommodate the needs of its clients.

“I feel confident in PC Troubleshooters’ strong reputation and their capabilities to service my accounts to the level they deserve,” said Renzi.

“[The acquisition was] new opportunity for growth, new opportunity to connect with more Rhode Island small to mid-sized businesses and showcase our experienced and talented team,” said Shorr.

PC Troubleshooters is located at in Warwick.
