PCU’s Andrade retiring

PAWTUCKET – The Pawtucket Credit Union has announced the retirement of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Robert P. Andrade after 42 years with the financial institution.
“It has been my pleasure to work alongside Bob for 22 years. His knowledge of credit union affairs, along with his insight regarding member relations, has proven invaluable,” Pawtucket Credit Union President and CEO Karl A. Kozak said in a Jan. 21 press release.
Andrade started as office manager for the credit union in 1972.
“When I began my career, PCU had $17 million in assets, one branch and 14 employees,” said Andrade. “Today, PCU is the largest credit union in Rhode Island with more than $1.5 billion in assets, 15 branch locations and over 250 employees. What a tremendous accomplishment and I’m proud to have been part of it.”
Andrade has been recognized for his advocacy of credit union issues at the local and national levels.
His takeaway from 42 years with Pawtucket Credit Union, Andrade said is, “I learn and grow from everyone I’ve ever met.”
