PCWorld highlights PC Troubleshooters

SAN FRANCISCO – A Rhode Island company’s digital video surveillance solution has been featured in a PCWorld article entitled “When Nobody is Watching Your Business, Security Systems Can.”

PC Troubleshooters, a Warwick-based systems management company, was featured in an article on March 4 about its $30,000 security overhaul for Property Advisory Group’s 99-unit Mount Vernon apartment complex.

The apartment complex was previously equipped with 25 closed-circuit TV cameras. The analog system proved problematic because it took several days between when an incident was recorded and when staffers could view the footage, also the images were often grainy.

PC Troubleshooter installed 10 Axis P3343-series digital network cameras on a hybrid video server which offer HDTV. Users can access the surveillance system through apps for iPhone, iPad and Android devices as well as on PCs and Macs.

“Smarter surveillance gear is dropping in price, offering analytics tools that examine patterns at your location. They might alert you the moment a fire exit is blocked, for example, or display data from a busy month to show exactly when customers flocked to your store,” the article said.
