“It means more than a lot of people realize,” said Denis Leary, the executive director for Veterans Inc. “Our veterans see this support as affirmation that they are not alone in their struggles, that it is not just our staff who is helping them, but that the community truly cares about them. The positive impact is immeasurable.”

Veterans Inc., which provides support services like temporary housing, counseling, employment services and more to veterans and their families, has an 85 percent rate – one of the highest percentages in the nation – for transitioning veterans out of homelessness.

Since 1991, Veteran’s Inc. has helped more than 50,000 veterans and their families. •
