Park center shows imagination

Providence Mayor Angel Taveras, at podium, helps unveil the new “Imagination Center” in Burnside Park on Aug. 22. The center was created with a grant from Southwest Airlines and will serve as a new place for family friendly activities in the park, including arts and crafts and interactive play. Joining Taveras are Megan Wood, senior manager of community outreach at Southwest Airlines and Cliff Wood (no relation) of the Downtown Providence Parks Conservancy.
