Pawtucket Credit Union donates $10K to food pantries

PAWTUCKET – Pawtucket Credit Union has donated $10,000 to several local food pantries to ease the hardship for many in putting food on the table daily.
Recipients of the funding include the Blackstone Valley Community Action Program, Blackstone Valley Emergency Food Center, Cranston Comprehensive Community Action Program, East Bay Community Action Program Pantry, East Greenwich Ecumenical Food Cupboard and Family Service of Rhode Island Pantry.
Also receiving funds are the North Kingstown Food Pantry, St. Vincent DePaul/St. Philip Food Pantry, Tri-Town Community Action Program and Westbay CAP Market Place Food Pantry.
Established in 1928, the credit union is a cooperative institution with more than $1.7 billion in assets and nearly 90,000 members in Rhode Island and contiguous southeastern Massachusetts.
PCU’s 15 offices are located in Pawtucket, Cumberland, Smithfield, North Providence, East Providence, Cranston, Warwick, East Greenwich and North Kingstown.
