People’s Credit Union names CFO

MIDDLETOWN – People’s Credit Union has appointed John T. Knierim executive vice president and chief financial officer, the credit union announced Nov. 18.
Knierim was previously senior vice president and chief financial officer at the Pittsfield, Mass.-based Greylock Federal Credit Union. Prior to that he was CFO at The Nashua Bank.
“We are thrilled that John is joining our team. He is a results-oriented, decisive leader with a proven track record,” said People’s Credit Union President and CEO Ellen Ford.
Knierim is a member of the Financial Managers Society. He has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harpur College at Binghamton University.
People’s Credit Union’s previous CFO Brian Hennessey was hired as CFO for the $1 billion San Jose, Calif.-based Meriwest Credit Union, according to and Aug. 26 article in Credit Union Times.
