Peter Scavongelli has been elected treasurer of the Rhode Island Life & Health Insurance Guaranty Association. He brings to his role more than 20 years of legal, regulatory and compliance experience in the insurance industry. Currently, Scavongelli is senior vice president and general counsel at the Savings Bank Life Insurance Co. of Massachusetts. He holds a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. •
