  1. If you oppose animal research – please check any charity that asks for your support, to make sure that they do NOT fund such, at www.humaneseal.org.
There you can type the charity’s name into an online search tool and find out if they fund research on animals. Unfortunately, although there are national industry-promoted standards that state that honest disclosure should always prevail, many charities (like The Jimmy Fund, and RI Hospital, more locally) use tales of helping children and various other disease-victims to solicit funds, and fail to mention that they fund research on animals – including cats and dogs.

If you still believe that animal research is necessary, please educate yourself by reading about this issue at the websites of the New England Anti-Vivisection Society (www.NEAVS.org) or the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (www.PCRM.org), or see the book, The China Study, which clearly details the profit/funding motive of much animal “research” – as well as the fact that the triggers of many diseases are known and that much disease is significantly avoidable with changes in diet.
