FASHION SHOW AND CHAMPAGNE BREAKFAST

The 13th annual Angela Moore fashion show and champagne breakfast fundraiser to benefit the International Tennis Hall of Fame will be held Thursday, July 12 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the hall of fame, 194 Bellevue Ave., Newport. Tennis stars, fashion and TV personalities and Newport celebrities will gather on the Horseshoe Piazza to celebrate summer style. This year’s theme is a salute to Newport nautical style. Several designers, including Moore, will show their summer collections on the runway. Tickets: $80, includes seated fashion show, champagne breakfast, a full day of courtside tennis viewing and an Angela Moore gift certificate. RUBBER DUCK RACE

The Middletown Education Collaborative will hold its sixth annual rubber duck race Thursday, July 12 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Third Beach, Middletown. The event raises money for creative and innovative experiences for Middletown public school students through sponsorships of rubber ducks for $10 each. The evening begins with music and party games before up to 1,000 rubber ducks race through a water course. The sponsor of the winning duck will take home a $1,000 grand prize. Other cash prizes will be awarded. Quackers, the MEC mascot, and Gully of the Newport Gulls will be on hand to meet fans. Food will be available for purchase. SUMMER FOOD DRIVE

Hampton Inn and the Rhode Island Community food bank are collecting non-perishable food items through Aug. 31. Most needed items include canned fruits and vegetables, canned soups and stews, canned or dried beans, whole wheat pasta, breakfast cereals, peanut butter, brown rice and tuna. EVENING AT THE SHORE GALA

The VNA of Care New England Foundation will host a gala to benefit community outreach programs on Wendesday, July 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. Themed “an evening at the shore,” the event will be held at Bonnet Shores Beach Club, 174 Bonnet Point Road, Narragansett. The evening includes a small-plated buffet prepared by beach club chef David Field and entertainment by Tony Cerbo. Cerbo, billed as the Michael Bublé of Rhode Island, will sing renditions of hit songs by Elvis Presely, Billy Joel and the Rat Pack. Tickets: $50. Reservations are required. YWCA GOLF TOURNAMENT

YWCA Northern Rhode Island will host its 18th annual golf tournament Sunday, July 15 at Foster Country Club, 67 Johnson Road, Foster. The event starts with a 1 p.m. shotgun start and is dedicated to Gini Duarte, who died of breast cancer in 1994. Partial proceeds benefit a scholarship for an outstanding female scholar and athlete. Funds also benefit YWCA programs. Participants may register as individuals or teams of two, three or four players. Tickets: $115 per person.
