QUIZ BOWL FOR AFFORDABLE ENERGY
The George Wiley Center will hold its third annual quiz bowl to benefit its campaign for affordable energy in addition to the Rhode Island Campaign to Eliminate Childhood Poverty. The event will take place from 6 to 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 28 at the McCoy Stadium Club House, Columbus Avenue, Pawtucket. Attendees may answer questions that are not necessarily trivial. The 2012 Greater Westerly Heart Walk will be held from 9 to 11:55 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Watch Hill Gazebo, Bay Street, Westerly. The event will be held rain or shine and participants may choose to complete a 3- or 5-mile walk. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. Walkers may register as individuals or as part of a team.
