TOYS FOR TOTS DROP OFF
Donations for Toys for Tots will be accepted at Rhode Island Blood Center locations throughout the state through Friday, Dec. 7. Blood donors and others may bring new, unwrapped toys to benefit underprivileged children in Rhode Island to any of the center’s five locations. HOLIDAY GIFTS CAMPAIGN
The Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and Families and Foster Forward are now accepting financial contributions and sponsorships for the DCYF Holiday Gifts for Teens Campaign. Those interested can specify how many teens they would like to help and “adopt” a group home. Ages, interests and wish lists of resident teens will be provided. Individuals or groups will then select, purchase and wrap gifts for teenagers in state care. HOLIDAY 5K RUN/WALK
The 2012 Jingle Bell Run and Chile Walk for Arthritis will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1 at Carousel Village, Roger Williams Park, 1000 Elmwood Ave., Providence.
