MAP TO THE FUTURE 2
The Manton Avenue Project will host its 2013 gala, “Map to the Future 2,” at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 3, at Fete Music, 103 Dike St., Providence. The fundraiser will feature a musical remounting of kids’ time-travel-themed plays and the world premiere of a time-travel-themed play by playwright Erik Ehn, head of the playwriting program at Brown University. In addition to musical productions, the evening’s activities will include a raffle, a time machine experience, auction and a volunteer appreciation award presentation. RIBN FUNDRAISER
The Rhode Island Birth Network will hold a fundraiser to support its outreach efforts from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 6. The fundraiser will be held on the Peerless roof garden at the Westminster Lofts, 150 Union St., Providence. Guests will enjoy a silent auction, raffle and local food and drink. Tickets: $75. BRAVO, BRADLEY! 2013
Bradley Hospital will host its annual gala, Bravo, Bradley!, from 6 to 11:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7, at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet, 60 Rhodes Place, Cranston. This year’s event is themed “A Magical Evening in Paris.” The evening begins with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, followed by a live auction and dinner. CAUSE FOR PAWS
Warwick Animal Shelter will holds its sixth annual Cause for Paws classic car show at 9 a.m. on Sunday, June 9, at at 171 Service Road, Warwick. Antique cars and a variety of classic cars are invited to exhibit for $15. Vehicle registration will run until noon. At 2 p.m., trophies will be awarded in 28 classes. The first 100 entrants to register their vehicles will receive free goody bags and dash plaques. Spectators are admitted free. There will be live music by Cruisin’ Bruce Palmer, door prizes and raffles. Those who donate a can of wet dog or cat food will receive an additional door prize ticket. Refreshments will be available. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Warwick Animal Shelter. Rain date is Sunday, July 21. VOLUNTEER FOR BIKE MS
The Rhode Island Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is seeking volunteers for its Bike MS: Ride the Rhode event to be held Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, 23. During the event nearly 1,000 cyclists will bike 150 miles in two days to raise funds for MS research. The route begins and ends in Pawtucket with an overnight stay in Norton. Volunteers are needed to assist with site set-up and clean-up, rest stop set-up and staffing, breakfast and lunch set-up, and additional functions.
