FUNDRAISER WALK
The Brain Injury Association of Rhode Island Inc. will host a fundraising walk beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 at Slater Memorial Park, RR 1A, Pawtucket. The walk will start and end at Daggett Farm. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.; walk begins at 8:30 a.m.; 5K run begins at 9 a.m. Free T-shirts
will be given to the first 150 walkers & 150 runners that are registered. Cost: entry fee for both the

WINE AUCTION & DINNER
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Providence will host a fundraising event from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10 at Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, One West Exchange St., Providence. The event will include a pre-dinner reception, three course dinner and silent wine auction with collectible and large format wines. Cost: $250 per couple or $125 per person. Reservations limited. FLAMES OF HOPE FUNDRAISER
Flames of Hope: A Celebration Of Life will host a three-day fundraising event beginning at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11 through Sunday, Oct. 13 at Station Park in Downtown Providence. On Friday, the event kicks off with the unveiling of the Celebrate Hope, Celebrate Life calendar and continues throughout the weekend with health screenings, healing arts activities, cooking demonstrations, informative lectures, music, and family fun. A torch ceremony coinciding with the final full WaterFire lighting of the season will be held Saturday evening. On Sunday, runners and walkers will have the option of participating in four races, collectively called the Flames of Hope Run/Walk Series. RIMA GALA
The Renaissance Movement for Rhode Island Manufacturing will host this year’s annual black-tie optional reception and dinner from 6 to 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19 at the Renaissance Providence Downtown Hotel, 5 Avenue of the Arts, Providence. The theme of the 2013 event will be the renaissance of manufacturing, with a focus on workforce development and education. WATERFIRE FUNDRAISER
WaterFire Providence will host the seventh annual WaterFire Providence Celebration at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at Ruth’s Chris Steak House, 10 Memorial Blvd, Providence. FREQUENCY FUNDRAISER
Frequency Providence is holding its first literary festival and fundraiser from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20 at AS220, 95 Empire St., Providence. The event will feature lots food, a cash bar, and a silent auction of original work by local artists, along with a book raffle, and short performances – including writers ready to write for you on demand – and more. , and a few surprises. PROVIDENCE PLACE GIVES
Providence Place will host Providence Place Gives, a fundraiser celebrating five Rhode Island organizations and the philanthropists who support them, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27. The celebration will be on level one near Tiffany & Co. at Providence Place, 12 Providence Place, Providence. Guests will enjoy entertainment, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction. During the event, five women representing Trinity Repertory Company, Adoption Rhode Island, Blithewold Mansion, Gardens, and Arboretum, Rhode Island Community Food Bank, and WaterFire will be honored.
